People First. Purpose Always.

Potential in Everyone.

I believe every young person who walks through a school door, onto an athletic field, or into a community program carries within them something extraordinary. A unique set of gifts, potential, and an innate desire to be seen, heard, valued, and inspired to become someone great. That belief is a conviction I carry into every room I enter.

My work in schools, universities, and community organizations is rooted in something larger than professional development. It is rooted in the belief that when we help young people understand their emotions, build genuine empathy, develop their character, and learn how to serve the people around them, we are building better human beings. And better human beings build better communities.

Social-emotional learning and emotional intelligence are not soft skills or supplemental programs. They are the foundation upon which everything else is built. Every academic achievement, every athletic accomplishment, every meaningful relationship and moment of leadership all rests on the emotional and character foundation we help our young people build when they are developing into who they are going to be.

That is why I do this work. That is what I bring to your school, university, athletic program, and community organization every time I walk through the door.

Every Thriving School Community Is Built on Social-Emotional Learning

The research on social-emotional learning (SEL) is clear: students who develop SEL skills such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making demonstrate higher academic achievement, stronger peer relationships, lower rates of anxiety and behavioral challenges, and greater readiness for the demands of college, career, and community life.

But beyond the data, there is something that every great educator and community leader knows in their bones: young people learn best when they feel seen, supported and emotionally safe. The schools and organizations that invest in the social and emotional development of its students create the conditions in which academic excellence, genuine friendship, and purposeful living become possible.

Emotional intelligence is the personal counterpart to social-emotional learning. It's the inner-life that SEL is developing from the outside in. When students understand their own emotions, when an athlete can regulate their response under pressure, when a young leader can listen with genuine empathy before they respond, they are living out the fruits of both SEL and emotional intelligence in real time.

My programs are designed to develop both. Not as a one-day workshop, and then back to business as usual, but as a genuine investment in the human beings your institution is responsible for forming. That's how you build a community. That's how you build a new generation of individuals ready to make a huge impact.

Students who receive quality SEL programming show an average 11% gain in academic achievement (CASEL meta-analysis of 213 studies).

Teachers & staff who develop EQ skills report stronger student relationships, lower personal burnout, and more collaborative school cultures.

Student-athletes who develop emotional intelligence demonstrate better teamwork, greater resilience after setbacks, and stronger leadership skills.

Schools that build SEL into their culture see measurable improvements in student belonging, peer respect, and community engagement over time. Emotional intelligence helps build connected communities that thrive.

Connecting the CORD: The Framework for Student Success

Christopher's signature framework — Connecting the CORD © — helps students and leaders connect four key pillars of personal and academic success:

  • Communication – Expressing ideas clearly, listening deeply, and understanding others.
  • Opportunities – Recognizing and creating opportunities for growth and leadership.
  • Relationships – Building positive, meaningful connections that enrich every area of life.
  • Decision-Making – Using emotional intelligence to make values-based, thoughtful decisions.

This framework empowers students and educators to thrive — in and out of the classroom — and prepares them for life’s challenges with confidence and purpose.

EQ Team-Building: How Great Teams Build Trust, Communicate, and Rise Together

In addition to keynotes, Christopher leads interactive team-building workshops that allow students and faculty to practice emotional intelligence in real-world scenarios. Through experiential learning, situations, feedback, and reflective exercises, participants discover how to:

  • Work collaboratively under pressure.
  • Resolve conflicts with empathy and understanding.
  • Build trust and psychological safety within teams.
  • Lead by example and influence others positively.

These workshops are fun, interactive, and deeply meaningful — leaving teams more connected and inspired to perform at their best.

What Changes When a School or Program Invests in Emotional Intelligence

The outcomes of great SEL and EQ programming are enduring. They are specific, measurable, and impactful. Here is what educators, administrators, and coaches tell me changes after they bring this work to their communities.

Students develop genuine self-awareness and emotional resilience

When young people learn to understand and manage their emotions, the change in their academic performance, relationships, and their sense of purpose is remarkable. They are better able to focus in the classroom, recover from setbacks on the field, navigate social pressure with confidence, and make smart decisions.

Faculty & staff build stronger, well connected school cultures

Educators who develop EQ skills communicate more effectively with students and colleagues, experience less emotional exhaustion, and build the kind of classroom and campus cultures where everyone feels genuinely valued. Schools that invest in the emotional intelligence of their educators see measurable improvements in student engagement, faculty retention, and the overall sense of community that makes aschool great.

Athletic teams develop the trust and cohesion that defines champions

Teams that build EQ alongside athletic skill are teams that stay together under pressure. They communicate more honestly, recover faster from conflict, and hold each other accountable with love. Coaches who have brought Christopher’s work to their programs describe a before and after shift in how the team talks, how it handles adversity, and how it shows up for each other.

Communities build the culture of belonging every young person deserves

Schools and organizations that build EQ into their culture become the places where young people discover who they are, develop the courage to become who they can be, and learn that the greatest use of their gifts is always in service to the people around them.

Educators who have partnered with Christopher report higher engagement, reduced burnout, and stronger relationships across their school communities.

The Emotional Intelligence Advantage

The world’s leading schools and universities cultivate character, empathy, and leadership. Emotional intelligence is the foundation that ties it all together. It’s what allows students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. And it’s what equips educators to lead with purpose, connection, and heart.

Through my work as a keynote speaker and leadership coach, I’ve helped thousands of students and leaders discover that the true measure of success is about how we lift others up, and build communities that care.

Trusted by Schools, Universities, Athletic Programs, and Community Organizations Across the Country

Invest in Your Students and Your Community. Let’s Build something Lasting Together.

Through the work I've done with schools, universities, athletic programs, and community organizations, I know this: the people who work in and for them believe that young people matter. They believe that education and community are sacred responsibilities. They believe that every student who walks through their door deserves to be championed and supported to become the best version of themselves.

That's exactly what I believe, too. It's why I consider this work of helping schools, athletic programs, and communities invest in the emotional and character development of the people in their care the most important work there is in life.

Whether you are planning a student leadership conference, a faculty professional development day, an athletic program culture retreat, or a community event for young leaders, I would be honored to be a part of it. Every great school community was built one intentional investment at a time. Let’s make yours.
